About

Hey there! I am Alessandro

Rooted in analog inspiration and a love for timeless visuals, my work captures authentic moments, soft light, and the quiet elegance of real life — always guided by curiosity and in search for timeless frames.

Katzuka ?

my pseudonym

When I created my Instagram account back in 2012 and was thinking of a name, “Katzuka” popped into my head — the story behind it will forever remain a mystery. From that moment on, it became a synonym for me and my travel photography on Instagram.
Over the years, as I connected with many other photographers, the name stuck with people and was fondly remembered. These days, I use both names, but for brand collaborations, tourism, and travel-related work, I mainly go by my pseudonym Katzuka.
I’ve grown quite fond of the name — it’s catchy, people associate it with me, and it’s led to quite a few funny moments over the years.

CAPTURING STORIES

Nice to meet you

Even as a child, I was incredibly curious and eager to explore — I’d come up with the most creative excuses just to sleep outside in the forest and experience nature with all my senses. Wanting to share those experiences, I started documenting them early on through photos and videos.
At the age of 14, I began posting my images on Instagram. Thanks to my love for cameras, visual exploration, and constant experimentation, I was able to grow a following relatively quickly. A few years later, I discovered my professional path in product photography, starting with small brands and eventually taking on major assignments for well-known companies such as Sony Mobile, Columbia, Volkswagen, and Storz and Bickel.
To bring balance and relaxation into my daily life, I enjoy going for walks in my hometown, have discovered a passion for fencing, and love sipping good coffee in the sun. Outside of photography, I also pursue other creative interests that add variety to my routine, such as historical art, tattoos, and design.
I was born and raised in a small village in the heart of Saxony and now live in the beautiful state capital of Dresden, where I find daily inspiration for my work.
